NYC Appointment Policy
You can make your appointment online, on the phone, or in person. Many appointments are made months in advance and so to ensure that our clients remember their appointments, we may call, email or text up to 2-7 business days before to confirm. NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT:
A nonrefundable deposit is required when appointments are made. The total price for most appointments is $54.44 including tax. For color services and/or braiding services, we may ask for an additional nonrefundable deposit. Some of our longer services such as color and braiding services may require an additional deposit that will be reviewed during your appointment scheduling. This deposit will be deducted from the total price of service upon completion. Please note that if we cannot reach you to confirm your appointment or you do not reschedule within 72 hours of your appointment, we will proceed to cancel it to serve another client on our waiting list and the deposit will not be refunded.
In order to provide a personalized service that exceeds your expectations, punctuality is important at Miss Rizos Salon. For this reason, please try to arrive 10 minutes before your appointment.
We understand that emergencies happen and do offer a 15-minute grace period from the start of your appointment, however, after the 15 minutes your appointment will be automatically canceled and the entire price of your service may be charged. As team members are scheduled based on your deposit, you will not be able to use the non refundable deposit for your next visit. We do this in order to be on time for our following appointments and ensure that our staff is booked efficiently.
If for any reason you need to cancel your service, please do so 72 hours before the time of your appointment. You can cancel online, by calling us at 646-882-0400 or emailing us at email@example.com.
Deposits are non-refundable. “Canceled less than 72 hours before” or “No Show” appointments paid in full will be able to reschedule minus the cost of the deposit or receive a partial refund for the amount minus the deposit. If a client “no shows” to their appointment with no communication, we reserve the right to charge 100% of the service missed.
For your full comfort and that of the other clients in our space, we enforce a no guest policy. Our space is really small and we want to make sure that we can comfortably accommodate you and our guests who are waiting for their appointments. There are lots of restaurants around our salon where family and friends can hang out while you finish your appointment. Minors may have just one parent or guardian to accompany and make decisions on their behalf.

We use the wet cut as our primary style of cutting. We do offer both Dry or Wet haircuts. For Dry cuts, please arrive with your hair dry, in it’s natural state and detangled with little to no product. We’ll complete the consultation and cut first and then proceed to the styling portion of your service. For wet cuts, there is no need to prepare beforehand. Your hair will be washed, cut, and then styled.
Please make sure there are no braids, locs, or twists in the hair before your appointment. We are detangling wizards. If you believe your hair is extra tangled (we know this happens sometimes), please add the “detangling service” add-on to your appointment. We charge an additional flat rate + NY sales tax to every 30 minutes of detangling so that we can allocate the proper time necessary. If you arrive without selecting the service and the appointment takes longer than the allocated time because of extreme detangling, you will be notified by the stylist that this service needs to be added.

We accept cash, all major credit cards and Apple pay. Tax and gratuities are not included in the service price. Gratuity can be given directly to team members via cash & team member’s preferred payment method (Zelle, Cash App etc) . If tipping in cash, we’ll have envelopes with the stylist’s or assistant’s name at the reception area.
SERVICES FOR CHILDREN
Our clients are very important to us, especially young children. If we begin the service for your child and they become uncomfortable and upset, we will have to stop the service completely. It is a hazard to handle scissors around a noticeably irritable child. We do not wish to make the experience traumatizing for any child or parent. Please be mindful when booking the appointment and ensuring that your child is ready to have someone cut their hair. We want them to remember the service as enjoyable as possible. Minors under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a guardian to their appointment.
Satisfaction Guaranteed We want to make sure our clients are 100% happy with our services, however, if you have any concerns or you are not fully satisfied with another service like styles, colors, etc. please notify us within 24 hours of your service. We want to make sure we make things right. We will gladly adjust and fine-tune any haircuts you receive within 7 days of the original service. For other styles such as color, braids, formal styles adjustments will only be considered within 24 hours. We want to make sure we make things right.
